How to Have an *Aesthetic* Vlogging Day in Quarantine

[ad_1]

During quarantine, the days seem to get longer and the fun seems to get shorter. Trust me, I know what it’s like to have 7 research articles to turn in and keep scrolling through Tik Tok. But I’ve definitely learned my lesson, and I’m here to share a *beautiful* and productive daily routine with you! Follow me throughout my day to find out how I am having fun, spending time with my family, exercising, watching Netflix, cooking, and more. While managing all my schoolwork!!

8:00 a.m.: Wake up call

I start my morning by waking up at 8:00 a.m. I usually wake up to the sound of my phone alarm, yes old habits die hard. I then proceed to turn off my alarm and sort of situate myself by opening my eyes and going to bed for a few minutes (about 5). Then I head to my bathroom and proceed with my morning facial routine. I then go back to my room, open my windows and fix my bed. I grab my phone and all my gear for the day (laptop, notebooks, pens and pencils, books, headphones, etc.) and head into the kitchen.

8:15 a.m.: breakfast and relaxation

I walk into the kitchen and pour myself a cup of coffee. I then proceed to pull out the ingredients I want for my breakfast. My breakfast is usually avocado toast, but it varies from waffles, yogurt and granola, to fruit salad, omelette, or French toast. I start cooking, and while I’m doing it, I usually listen to music and start checking my school’s database to see what homework I need to complete for the day. Finally, I sit down to eat.

When I eat, I usually like to read the news on my phone or my computer. I usually check the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and BuzzFeed News. After checking the news, I give myself time to check Instagram, Snapchat, Emails, Whataspp, Twitter, etc. that way I’m caught up on everything I need to know. I usually use this time to make my to-do list for the day and generate my schedule and routine. I then proceed to clean my area, grab a glass of water, and head to my workspace.

9:00 a.m. Planning and start-up:

I arrive at my workspace, which is usually my bedroom office. I try to make sure my workspace is calm and organized, and everything I need is within reach. I usually try to have a plant in there, as well as good lighting, just to increase the vibes and the overall possibility of the vibe. I then proceed to pull out my diary and turn on my computer. I put on some music, sit down and start my virtual school.

LET’S TALK BREAK

I am a person who believes in working all morning, so I can be free all afternoon. I know this may not apply to everyone. But I take breaks, it’s not like I never get up. Ok so I try to take breaks after 1 or 1 1/2 hours of work, these are usually around 10-15 minutes and I usually chat with my family, check my phone and have a snack. I usually head to the kitchen and grab an apple, granola cookies, yogurt, fruit, etc. You can change this to suit your needs, now that I know it’s hard to stay focused for long.

1:15 p.m.: Lunch & Family

Since my family and I are usually very busy throughout the day, we usually have lunch around 1:15 p.m. I go down to the dining room and my family and I sit down together to eat. We usually chat about what’s on the news, random facts, gossip, what we’ve been doing so far, and sometimes we watch TV. Some of the meals we eat include grilled chicken with salad and mashed potatoes, broccoli with meat and rice, homemade pasta with tomato sauce, avocado salad and quinoa, Mexican tacos, etc. After this fun moment, I return to my workspace.

2:00-3:30 p.m.: conclusion and reset

I am now back at my workspace. I will now check what else I need to do. If I have something to finish, I will finish it quickly and in the moment. Also, my zoom meetings (if I have any) are usually around this time, so it’s kind of the perfect 60 minutes to wrap up school. If I don’t have any appointments scheduled and I’ve finished all my work, I check my phone (watch Netflix, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram), you know, the basics. I also use this free time to lie down in bed for a bit (I only sleep if I feel it’s really necessary) and just recover my energy.

3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Training

I get up and put on my gym clothes. I set up my yoga mat in my garden and leave my phone in my bedroom. If for some reason I can’t train outside. I set up my yoga mat in my bedroom, overlooking my window, and put some music on, turn on the air conditioning, grab my water bottle, and watch some workout videos (I personally like to do Madfits workouts , Chloe Tings and Blogilates).

It usually takes an hour, and after I’m done, I have a snack (yogurt, cookies, cashews, carrots and peanut butter, blueberries, strawberries, etc.). I get my phone and spend some time on it (about 5-10 min). I then proceed to take a shower and put on my pajamas or loungewear.

5:00 p.m.: leisure time

Usually at that time it’s basically a free period for me. I usually work on my unrelated school activities like working on my blog, working on my fashion page, working on secret business plans, doing a photo shoot, etc. I also like a good old reading session. I usually go out to my garden and just sit in one of the hammocks or on the grass, while listening to music that makes you feel like you’re in 1970s Italy.

You can also find me helping my mom or dad with a certain task or playing with my little sister. Also, sometimes I like to use this time for self-care, such as face masks, manicures, pedicures, etc. It all really depends on my mood and my schedule for that day. Sometimes you will find me finishing my homework, now that I didn’t feel like doing it before, or other times just vibrating, it really depends. But, this hour is above all a time for me.

7:00 p.m.: Dinner and catch-up

My family and I all meet in our garden for dinner. We leave our phones inside and we catch up. We talk about everything that happened in the day, if there’s anything new, and mostly talk about the same categories that I mentioned before. But, one fun thing we do over dinner is play board games. Definitely recommend it, now that it’s a fun time to catch up with your family while doing something different.

8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.: time with friends and family

Usually at this time my friends and I are completely free, so we use it to catch up. We all connect on facetime calls and just joke around and talk about what’s going on in our lives right now. Sometimes we have girl-on-girl facetime calls and we all give each other advice, do our self-care routines together, spill some gossip, talk about crushes, relationships, fashion, celebrities, and more. Other times I just have facetime calls with my best friend and just give each other advice and talk about our lives in general.

In addition, I use this time to contact my loved ones and distant family members. During this quarantine, not seeing my family (apart from my mother, my sister and my father) has been difficult. So I use this hour to talk to my grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, etc. We usually talk about anything new in our lives, crack jokes and, depending on family members, give advice.

9:30-10:00 p.m.: Bonding time between sisters

I usually spend that half hour with my little sister. I usually play with her, or we make popcorn and watch a movie. Anyway, I dedicate this half hour before going to sleep to be with her. She makes me play with LOL dolls, Shopkins, Polly Pockets, Barbies, etc. Sometimes we have dance parties, other times I read a book to her, other times we color, etc. Yes, having a little sister is like being a kid all over again, and it sounds easier than it looks.

10:30-11:00 p.m.: Get ready for bed

At that time, I usually put on my pajamas (if I haven’t already). Then I continue to the bathroom and go through my evening routine, which consists of brushing my teeth, washing my face, putting on moisturizer, brushing my hair, etc. (sometimes it’s longer)

Then I go to my parents’ and my sister’s room to say good night. I then head to the kitchen and make myself some chamomile or green tea. I finally arrive in my room and watch Netflix, Tiktok, Snapchat and Instagram. I prepare everything I need in advance, then I go to bed.

11:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m.: sleep time

I usually fall asleep between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. What I often do is turn on my led lights and set them to turn off at a specific time. I then put on music to help you imagine scenarios in your head and let myself go. I think and reflect on the day I had and I feel the music. I end up falling asleep and recharging my batteries for the next morning.

That’s it folks, see you in the next episode
