12 tips and tricks every girl should know for summer

[ad_1]

The summer season is fast approaching and we are all looking forward to hitting the beach, getting out of school and hanging out with friends every day. But summer always brings challenges to our normal beauty routines and lives, so here are some tips and tricks to use throughout the summer to stay gorgeous and improve your daily routine.

1. Flyaways can be tamed with a toothbrush

With summer being hot and humid, leaks can be a pain. With just a toothbrush and some hairspray, you can tame those annoying flies. By spraying a toothbrush with hairspray and combing through your flyaways, they’ll be out of place and stay in place.

Personally, I love this trick because I have thick, frizzy hair and it always tames my flyaways!

2. Get a smooth shave and avoid razor burn

No one wants to get razor burn, especially in the summer when you spend most of your time in a bathing suit. To avoid razor burn and get a smoother shave, you should shave near the end of the shower. Then, before you shave, you want to exfoliate everything you shave. You can use any exfoliant, from coffee beans to a store-bought exfoliator. If you happen to get razor burn, I use a product called bikini zone which works wonders! I love it and you just apply it after feeling the razor burn and then it’s gone the next day.

3. An easy way to treat sunburn

It happens to the best of us, we either forget to reapply sunscreen or don’t put on enough and BAM we get sunburned. These are the worst, but a simple trick is to freeze aloe vera in small ice cubes. Then you can whip out an ice cube of aloe vera and simply rub it on your sunburn, which makes it so much easier!

4. Make the fragrance last longer

Us girls all know our perfume lasts until we walk through the door, and guys can survive a zombie apocalypse and still smell their cologne, that’s not fair! Well here is a tip to make your perfume last longer, dab a little petroleum jelly on the areas where you will spray perfume. Then after applying Vaseline, you spray your perfume and it will last longer!

5. Nail polish can give you a cool tan tattoo

To get a nice tan tattoo, you can simply paint nail polish on your skin in whatever design you want. Once you’ve painted your design, spend a day in the sun. You can reapply nail polish to make your bronzed tattoo more visible and spend more time in the sun. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

6. Cure Itchy Mosquito Bites

There are actually several ways to get rid of the itchiness of annoying mosquito bites. One way to cure them is to put some salt on your finger and wet it. Then rub the wet salt on the mosquito bite. Another way to stop the itching is to rub apple cider vinegar directly on the mosquito bite. You can also put a slice of lemon on the mosquito bite, which will prevent the mosquito bite from itching.

7. Put your phone in a Ziploc bag

Personally, I love this trick, I use it every time I spend time at the beach. I know not everyone has a waterproof case on their phone, so to prevent it from getting wet or getting sand on your phone, just throw it in a Ziploc bag. You can still use your phone while it’s in the Ziploc, and it will keep it safe!

8. Fitted sheets are perfect for the beach

Next time you go to the beach, bring a fitted sheet. You can use the fitted sheet to keep the sand out, you place an object in each of the four corners to keep the sides up, and voila, you have a sand-free zone!

9. Keep your stuff safe

You’re never always near your valuables at the beach, and no one wants them stolen. To keep your valuables safe, put them in an empty sunscreen bottle. Personally, I use it all the time. Just open an empty sunscreen bottle and put your money, credit cards and keys in it! They’re safe, plus that’s one less thing you have to worry about at the beach!

10. Prevent pit stains from ruining your outfit

We all know that summer heat can be brutal and sweating can be embarrassing. To prevent sweat stains from showing through your shirts, you can put panty liners on the inside part of your shirt, where your armpit would go.

11. Get rid of your deodorant stains

Deodorant stains are a pain when you get them right before you step out of the house and have to change. Well, here’s an easy way to remove them from your clothes dryer sheets. Just rub the dryer sheet over the deodorant stains and it magically disappears.

12. Fast-drying, longer-lasting nail polish

Painting your nails may take ALWAYS to dry and then it flakes off within a few days. But you can make it dry faster and last longer. To quickly dry nail polish, you can soak your freshly painted nails in a cup of ice water. I don’t know what makes it dry so fast, but it works. Then, to make your fresh manicure last a few days longer, reapply a top coat every few days. I hope these tips and tricks are helpful to you all!
